Snellers has been providing locals with professional property advice for over 90 years. Our teams of local experts handle the sales and lettings of over 2,000 properties each year and are recognised for their focus and dedication to achieving the very best results.

‘Despite what you might be reading in the press, the London property market remains as strong as ever with large numbers of buyers keen to secure a new home before the end of the year,’ says Gary Oliver at Snellers. ‘The demand for people wanting to live within Richmond and Kingston Borough’s continues to rise. We support a variety of buyers searching for a property in these areas ranging from first time buyers, growing families and those downsizing locally. With the open green spaces of Bushy Park, excellent shopping facilities and a number of state and private schools, there is something for everyone. If you’re thinking of selling this year, do contact your local office. We would be delighted to meet and talk through the next steps to ensure we sell your house for the best possible price. If you’re a buyer and you’re interested in finding your next home before the end of the year, now is the time to be out viewing properties. We are confident that the demand we’re experiencing will continue into 2023 and prices will remain strong.’

‘Over recent months we’ve seen more people moving out from centrally located parts of London to the Richmond borough where they are able to get better value for their money and they’re not as focused on being as close to transport links,’ says Robert Mumford at Snellers. ‘Instead, they are prioritising their space and their lifestyle. The lettings market is extremely busy and we are achieving some impressive prices. With the cost of living, rental and house prices all due to rise, we’re finding that both landlords and tenants want security and are therefore committing to long-term tenancies which benefit both parties. One recent success includes a five bedroom family house that we let to corporate tenants on a fixed three year tenancy and we received excellent reviews. Our advice for tenants is to act fast, most properties are receiving multiple offers and therefore aren’t staying available for very long. We expect this activity in the lettings marketing to remain for the foreseeable future.’

If you would like an update on the market, or if you are considering selling or letting, please contact your local Snellers office where our team will be able to help.
