'Every property we bring to the lettings market is let very quickly,’ says Laura Lucas, Lettings Manager at Snellers Teddington. ‘The best homes attract many viewings and can receive multiple offers and often we are achieving over the asking price for our landlords. Over the last few months we have seen a record number of tenancies secured with rents upwards of £2,500 pcm and we don't envisage this demand slowing down. We have many families determined to find long term homes in Teddington due to its great schools, the fantastic High Street and the attractions of Bushy Park.’
Our sales teams are just as busy with more buyers than available properties. ‘Buyers are jumping in wherever they see good value, good location or both,’ says Paul Herring, Sales Director at Snellers Teddington. 'They are not afraid to make offers and there is currently exceptionally strong demand for great family homes. There’s a definite lack of properties around the £2,000,000 mark, meaning houses for sale at that level are particularly competitive. It is not uncommon for us to have multiple offers on the very best homes and we have achieved over asking price for a number of our clients. The demand is mostly coming from those moving within the local area but there are some buyers looking to relocate from the likes of Putney and Wandsworth in order to get more space and to be near to fantastic schools.’
