A competitive market
Snellers have been building their reputation in the local area since 1929, with a focus on delivering a great service across five sales and lettings offices. On average our expert teams spend 180-200 hours to find their clients the best possible buyer or tenant.
‘Since the start of the new year we have undertaken a high number of valuations which indicates that more properties are coming to the market for buyers,’ says Paul Herring from Snellers. ‘Looking back over the last 12 months we’ve noticed there has been an increase in prices as well as more transactions than the same period in the previous year. Many of the buyers looking to purchase property in Teddington are families who have moved out from other central pockets of London as well as young professionals who can get more for their money than in other areas such as Fulham, Wandsworth or the City. With such high demand, we are agreeing a large number of sales, experiencing record prices and our Google reviews reflect our customer service. As the market is extremely competitive, we are advising all buyers to get their finances organised, be decisive and offer quickly or you may end up missing out. Some of the most popular streets in the area include Langham Road or Kingston Lane for the large family houses and Clarence Road for double fronted properties, all of which attract a premium price.’
‘The year is off to a flying start and we are achieving some fantastic prices for our landlords, there has never been a better time to let your property,’ says Robert Mumford from Snellers. ‘Teddington is a sought after area, well known for large family houses which have proved popular for those needing to work flexibly in recent years. The high street contains both well known and boutique shops, bars and restaurants as well as the open green space of Bushy Park, as a result of this demand has increased, therefore so have prices. If you are thinking of letting your property, get in touch with your local office. There is a huge amount of pent up demand from tenants both corporate and professional and I’m confident we will match your property with a suitable tenant. Our advice to tenants is to offer quickly as competition is high and you could miss out if you delay. We believe that demand will remain high as people move out of central London in favour of a second or third bedroom. We are on hand to offer advice and guidance to landlords at any stage of the process should there be any queries.’
